HMI has state of the art equipment when it comes to motor controls. We utilize the latest technologies to assure that our customers have the latest and most dependable systems available.
Although they are not build "in-house", we have direct hands-on control over every control system sold because the manufacturer of our systems, Mission Control Systems, is right next door to us.
Mission Control Systems (MCC) began in 1977 as Aptos Control Systems, Inc, which was located in Aptos California, hence the name Aptos Controls. In 1989 they moved next to HMI in Gilroy California, and the name was shortened to ACS Inc. The company was reorganized in 2005 and is now known as MCC.
The company has six full time employees, but the work force increases with the work demand. They offer contract panel fabrication, panel design and assembly, mini PLC programming services, and start-up services. The control systems they provide often include PLC's, instrumentation, motor controls, power distribution, lighting controls, and pneumatic assemblies. They not only exclusively do our systems, but include manufacturers, food processors, public utilities, and contractors as part of the long list of customers they service.
They have a 6,000 square foot facility, which includes general office space, a CAD design/drafting area, and the assembly shop. The shop equipment features an 8-ton metal punch press, hot stamp sleeve marking machines, and a computerized nameplate-engraving machine. They also offer "UL" listing for their completed panels, per UL Standard 508, for "enclosed industrial control panels".
Another point of interest, is that MCC is owned and operated by Ric Heinzen, P.E. who is the brother of our very own CEO, Alan Heinzen, that may be why we have such a great deal of control over the quality of products from MCC Inc., which ultimately, is good for you!
