2410 FLOTATION WASH SYSTEM

The latest Heinzen insect removal wash system, new & improved for foreign material removal.

Features
Heinzen’s flotation wash system contains a water-agitated flume tank. By maintaining a weir balance and using a pair of rotating perforated drums, product is gently submerged allowing for removal of insects and undesirable particles. Parabolic screens capture debris. Typical use is with products such as spinach, spring mix and romaine. System can be designed to discharge product onto a dewatering conveyor or shaker. The system is designed as a modular section to drop into existing wash lines.

Options/Specifications

  • Designed specifically for buoyant particle removal of product fines and insects
  • Centerless dunking reels, with optional lifting system, to allow for double the small particle removal than other systems
  • Custom applications up to 12,000pph, depending on product
  • Self-contained, all stainless steel tri-clamp fittings for air. Sanitary blower is mounted directly to the unit.
  • Fast product change-over with low water volume.
  • Lift-up air distribution panels for easy cleaning

2410 FULL WASH SYSTEM

Incorporate Heinzens full featured Wash System as your core process cleaning and chilling system.

Features
A Fresh Produce Wash System begins with Laminar Flow, where product is introduced into the line. An HR-Zone immediately follows, 6 to 12 jets bubble & agitate the water into a full-clean wash bath. A sand trap catches any debris churned up by the HR-Zone, a clear view tube is optional. The above system is shown with a rotary drum cleaning reel in the first wash, then into a dewatering shaker.

Featured system shows a double wash with the shaker feeding a reverse belt conveyor into Spin Dryer baskets.
